What is a Lash Lift?

Wondering what is Lash lift is? Well, here are some answers for you to determine if this is a service for you. A lash lift is a professional treatment combining the use of lifting and setting lotions along with silicone rods to give your natural lashes a more full, long, and curled appearance instantly. The effect is similar to what a lash curler does to your lashes (more length and curl), but the effects last up to 8 weeks.

A lash lift can benefit anyone's lashes, short, long, full, or sparse. The most dramatic result is seen on those clients with very straight or down turned lashes. Everyone will see a lift to the eye instantly. It's great for those clients who are looking to save time in their routine by eliminating their lash curler or mascara or for those that just want to have more dramatic lashes when wearing eye makeup and mascara.

The process:

1. Come to the appointment mascara, eye makeup, and eye cream free. If you wear contacts, please remove before your appointment.
2. Apply an eye pad under the eye to protect the bottom lashes from curling up.

3. Choose the correct rod shape for your current lash length. This is very important to getting the best lift. Too small of a rod will curl the lashes back too much making them look shorter. Too large of a rod will not give enough lift.

4. Apply a water soluble glue to the back of the silicone rod and affix to the eyelid. Apply that same glue to the front of the rod to affix the lashes to the rod.

5. Separate and fan out the lashes to give the desired effect.

6. Apply lifting lotion which allows the lashes to be molded into the shape created on the rod.
(Time varies for each client based on lash health, texture, and how hair typically holds curl). Remove lifting lotion.

7. Apply setting lotion to set the curl and condition the lashes. Remove setting lotion.
8. Remove glue and rod from the eyelid using water.
9. Add a lash tint to make lashes look darker, no mascara needed.

The service takes about 45 minutes to an hour complete, depending on processing time.

There is little aftercare needed. For 24 hours after your lash lift, keep the eye area away from steam, water, oils, lotions, makeup removers, and mascara. After the 24 hour period, you are free to use any makeup or skincare products around the eye.  Because the lashes are still malleable for up to 24 hours, sleeping on your back is advised.

The cost for the Lash lift and tint is $75.
