Easy Summer Makeup Essentials
Summer makeup should be easy, multi-use, and long-wearing.
Here are some of my summer makeup essentials:
NARS Oil Free Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer
It helps to keep your makeup from melting off during the hot summer months. It also controls shine while filling in pores and fine lines.
Chanel Les Beiges All in One Healthy Glow Fluid
This adds moisture, SPF, and suprisingly great coverage for a tinted moisturizer type of makeup. It self adjusts to match your color which is great for those summer months when you get a little extra color. There is no need to buy a new summer makeup!
NARS The Multiple
These are so easy to use! Just apply by placing a little on your finger and add to your cheeks for no fuss blush. Some colors also double as a bronzer, highlighter, or lip color too.
Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks
These can literally be drawn on the eyes and blended in with your finger or a synthetic brush. They are long wearing and crease proof even without a primer. Add one color all over by itself or add a darker shade in the crease or along the lash line and voilà...a beautiful eyeshadow look in just a minute.
Trish McEvoy Lash Curling or High Volume Mascara
There is no longer a need to buy a mascara that is waterproof. Oftentimes, they can be harsh on your lashes and difficult to remove. Instead, just layer the Trish mascara over your favorite mascara and it is instantly transformed to a smudge proof formula. No more black eyes at the pool or even in the morning after you thought you removed your mascara the night before. This mascara has polymers that coat the lashes and can be removed with hot, steamy water. It is so gentle on the lashes and easy to remove. But just remember to stay away from any steam rooms or hot tubs because the steam will start to break down the product.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel
Don't forget about your brows. They instantly complete your overall look. I love to use this product to add a bit of color to my brows while giving them a more groomed look. The applicator looks just like a mascara wand. With a light touch, just add a bit to your brows and you are good to go.
Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15
Don't forget to use SPF on your lips. This formula will moisturize, provide SPF, and color. The texture makes your lips feel amazingly silky, smooth.
Kate Sommerville 360 Tanning Towlettes
Being a fair skinned person, I have tried almost everything to look more tan during the summer months. It is hard to find a self tanner that isn't orange, doesn't streak, and doesn't stink. This has been the best that I've found because it gives a natural color, does not smell, and is so easy to apply. Just rub the large towlette evenly over your entire body for an easy, mess free application.
